Viennese Waltz

Viennese Waltz emerged in the second half of the 18th century in Austria. Today, it is so much part of Austrian culture that Austrians waltz into each New Year to the sound of the Blue Danube Waltz. The rapid, twirling elegance of the Viennese Waltz is no thing of the past. As Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance continue to play on America`s TV. The Viennese Waltz is the classic, old original Waltz. A waltzing couple rotate around each other as they fly gracefully around the room. Often danced to Johann Strauss. Some people mistakenly call it the Vietnamese waltz, which does not exist. The Viennese waltz is both  a competition ballroom dance and a social ballroom dance. The most wanted as first wedding dance.
